Higher Quality Results with FaceReader 8!

We are happy to announce that we have updated the engine of FaceReader Online to FaceReader 8. Recently FaceReader 8 of the desktop version was released. The desktop version is a software package available via our partner Noldus that you have to install on your computer. The recent update features a wide array of extra possibilities, such as custom expression analysis and baby facial expression analysis. These are not available in the online environment; however, it also means that we have improved our emotion recognition algorithms with the newest machine learning insights. The analysis will now be more accurate and will better handle difficult situations, for example, when someone has their hand in front of their face.

When you start a new project, the analysis engine will automatically use the newest version. If you want to be able to compare two projects, for now we also offer the possibility to use the older version of FaceReader. You can select the engine you want to use under project details.
